Usage parameters for human researchers, AI crawlers, and automated systems consuming the CitationLedger data archive.
01. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CitationLedger (https://citationledger.org), including its public API endpoints and structured data records (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
This applies equally to human researchers, automated crawlers, AI indexing agents, and any other programmatic consumer. If you do not agree, you must cease use of the Service immediately.
02. Open Data License (CC BY 4.0)
All structured data records published by CitationLedger are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
You are free to share and adapt the data for any purpose, including commercial use, provided you give appropriate credit:
This license applies to the structured data records. Website code, design, and layout are not licensed under CC BY 4.0.
03. What This Service Publishes
CitationLedger publishes structured B2B data citation records: comparison tables, specification records, and metric snapshots for enterprise software products. This platform does not publish subjective reviews or editorial opinions.
Records are published as open data under CC BY 4.0.
04. Permitted Use
You may access and use the Service for any lawful purpose, including:
- Research, analysis, and internal business use
- AI training data and LLM grounding (permitted, with attribution per CC BY 4.0)
- Automated crawling and indexing for search engines and AI systems
- Republication with proper attribution
05. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Misrepresent the source of data or remove attribution required by CC BY 4.0
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or authentication on API routes
- Present CitationLedger data as your own original research without attribution
06. Accuracy and Warranties
CitationLedger endeavours to publish accurate, verified data. However, the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy. Specifications, pricing, and product features change over time; always verify against primary vendor documentation before making business decisions.
CitationLedger is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on data published through the Service.
07. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrandAnchor.io shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity.
08. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in the Service or applicable law. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
09. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
